David Kaplan: Yes
Tale
Mismatched cousins David and Benji reunite for a tour of Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The affair takes a turn for the worse when the couple’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history. When Benji and David visit their grandmother’s house in Poland, it’s where Jesse Eisenberg; the true ancestors settled in the diaspora… Benji Kaplan: We stay moving, we stay lighter, we stay nimble.
Benji Kaplan: Yes
Benji Kaplan: The conductor comes, takes the tickets, we tell him we’re going to the bathroom. David Kaplan: The bathroom. Benji Kaplan: He gets to the back of the train and starts moving forward, looking for tramps. David Kaplan: Excuse me, are we late?
David Kaplan: That’s so stupid
By the time they get there, the train will be at the station and we are free to go home. Tickets cost about twelve dollars. Benji Kaplan: It’s the principle of the thing. We should not pay for train tickets in Poland.
And Real Pain is an amazing movie
This is our country David Kaplan: No, no, it was our country. They kicked us out because they thought we were cheap… Featured in Amanda the Jedi Show: The Best and Greatest Movies You (Mostly) Haven’t Seen Yet | Love Lies Bleeding (2024). Jessie Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin give some of the best performances of their careers. I definitely think Culkin will be one of the best actors at the Oscars this year.
This movie has a consistently engaging, emotional and funny script
Eisenberg also wrote the screenplay for this film and directed it. He knocked it out of the park with both roles as well. The film deals with some heavy subjects and handles them all with such good taste. This is a film that clearly meant something to everyone who made it, and I think you can see that in the final product.
